Eighteen graduates of The University of Scranton who have committed to long-term service projects with nonprofit organizations and underserved populations throughout the country and internationally. Their service begins this summer and includes programs run by the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
For a group of select first-year students, one summer service-learning trip can change the way they view themselves, their communities and those impacted by homelessness around the world. Each summer, members of the incoming class participate in SU SPLASH (Students Promoting Leadership and Awareness in Serving the Homeless), an opportunity coordinated by the David '69 and Sharon Johnson Center for Civic Engagement.

Several students participated in the Sigmund Weis School of Business London Program during the fall 2017 semester. The program provides business students with an international experience, developing and expanding their learning capabilities and broadening their perspectives about possible careers. While abroad, students complete an internship, as well as courses in operations management, quantitative methods for business, international business practice, and management and organizational behavior.
From researching whales in Hawaii to exploring Ecuador and its culture, Albright College students are spending winter break engaged in study opportunities far from campus.

The Honors Program offers a challenging academic program to students interested in a more self-directed and interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students are chosen for their natural curiosity, passion for learning, high energy, leadership and academic standing in high school.
Delaware Valley University is pleased to announce that 62 students were inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Alpha Lambda Delta encourages superior scholastic achievement among first year students. The Society promotes intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning. Members are encouraged to recognize and develop meaningful goals for their unique roles in society. To be inducted, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better during their first full time year.
Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski, Delaware Valley University's interim vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, announced the following students have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the Spring 2017 Dean's List.
Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 1,200 students during the winter and spring semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.
Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

The Kutztown University Dance Team has been selected to participate in the 2014 Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 16. The parade begins at noon at the intersection of JFK Blvd. and 16th St.
Kutztown University has announced the student-athletes that will represent its field hockey program for the 2016 season.
After posting identical marks the last two years, Kutztown University surpassed its previous mark by 17 student-athletes in 2016 by recognizing 162 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athletes, the most in school history.
Wilkes University Theatre will present "Our Town," a drama by Thornton Wilder, Oct. 1-4. Performances are being held nightly at 8 p.m. in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center, with a Sunday matinee performance at 2 p.m. Directed by Wilkes' assistant professor of theatre Jon Liebetrau, this Pulitzer Prize-winning play delves into the complexity of the human experience by peeking into seemingly simple lives of people in the town of Grover's Corners, N.H., revealing profound meaning.
